Engineering BOMs in Systemize!
The Engineering module features :
- Create BOMs (Bills of Materials) for all your assemblies
- BOMs are created and viewed using a graphical tree view structure, making it easy to visualize entire assemblies
- The Where Used function for discovery of all assemblies using a particular part
- The BOM Differences function displays specific changes between two different assemblies (or revision levels of the same assembly)
- Integrates fully with the MRP system and Work Orders

BOMs are created using a graphical tree view, allowing users to visualize entire assemblies, including all sub-assemblies and component parts.
An entire BOM structure can be copied into a different part number (or part revision), making quick work of up issuing.
Your BOMs can be easily printed out, or exported to excel, word or as a PDF document.
The BOM view shows all assemblies in the tree, and all of the currently selected assembly's component parts in the grid to the right.
It's a breeze for your technical staff to create or edit BOMs, and now you can allow any user to view BOMs without being able to make changes using the permissions control functionality.
Where Used & Global Replace

The Where Used function is the perfect way to discover every assembly of which a part is a component.
A vital tool whenever a new revision or part replacement is required, the Where Used function will mean your company never manufactures to an old standard again. The Global Replace function is the ideal partner function - giving your production controller the ability to replace all (or optionally selectable) instances of a particular part revision with another.
As with all other Systemize! functions and forms, any output can be exported or printed, and with useful features such as the ability to optionally exclude old or not yet released assemblies, the Where Used and Global Replace functions will always be indispensable to your production engineers.
Detailing BOM Differences

The BOM Differences function allows users to view details of all differences between two different assembly BOMs (Bills of Material).
The changes are split into three different groups:
- Parts Added to the new assembly
- Parts Removed from the old assembly
- Quantities Changed for parts that are used on both assemblies
The information can be printed, and exported to various formats (PDF, Excel, Word), making it perfect for sending to your production department or sub-contractors for them to use to update build processes.
